Seksaria Sushila Devi Public School Honoured with ‘Sustainability Superstar–25’ Eco-Health and Wellness Award
Seksaria Sushila Devi Public School was honoured with the Eco-Health and Wellness Award under the Sustainability Superstar–25 category at a grand ceremony held at Sangrila Eros, Ashoka Road, New Delhi. The prestigious award was presented to the school’s Principal, Dr. G. D. Patil, by TV9 anchor and Sustainability Champion journalist Mrs. Surabhi R. Sharma along with Mr. Prateek Kumar.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Ganesh D. Patil stated that while the award is a matter of great pride for the school, the real achievement lies in the improved average fitness of the students, their ability to handle mental pressure, and their continuous efforts to keep the school campus and surrounding areas clean and green.
He further shared that the students’ conscious initiatives towards saving water, electricity, fuel and paper, along with adopting a healthy lifestyle, are truly commendable. Under the guidance of school management members Mr. Dinesh Seksaria and Mr. Rakesh Seksaria, hundreds of saplings have been planted on the school campus under the “My School–My Tree” initiative, with active support and participation from the Lions Club and Bharat Vikas Parishad.
The school’s Eco Club has been consistently carrying out creative activities for environmental education, conservation and development. Meanwhile, the Health & Wellness Club, aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG-3), has made significant contributions over the past three years through programmes such as Yoga Day, cycling campaigns, Surya Saptami, and Cyber Safety Week.
Appreciating the positive cooperation of students and parents, the Principal emphasized that Seksaria Sushila Devi Public School will continue to work towards making sustainability a way of life, contributing to the creation of a better, healthier and environmentally friendly society in the future.
